In order to adopt a dog from White Paws German Shepherd Dog Rescue you must fill out an application and meet all the requirements to help ensure the dog is placed with a family that best meets it's needs. Our adoption fee helps to cover the costs of spaying/neutering, food and all costs that are incurred to take proper care of the dogs. All dogs in our care will be up to date on all shots and on heart worm preventative. All dogs will be spayed/neutered with the exceptions of young puppies (which you will have to present proof of the spay/neuter by the date specified by White Paws GSD Rescue). If the dog is not spayed/neutered within the specified time White Paws will take the dog back into rescue (No Exceptions). All approved adoptions are finalized with a legal and binding contract. Adoption Policies
After the application is received the following steps will be taken before the dog is placed in new home, on a first-come, first-served basis when the adoption application is approved. Needs of dog is our first consideration and all adoptions are at the discretion of White Paws German Shepherd Dog Rescue Inc.

  1. Check references which include Veterinarian and personal references.
  2. Conduct a home visit and fill out home visit form which needs to be approved by the President.
  3. Upon approval a meeting may be set up by a representative of the rescue for a time and place to meet with adopters to review and sign contract. It is suggested that all points of adoption contract are read and discussed with adopters to insure that the contract is fully understood.
    • Meeting place to be determined by representative of White Paws GSD Rescue and adopters.
    • Veterinarian records will be turned over to adopters with a copy kept for White Paws GSD Rescue's records.
  4. After receiving the adoption fee, the dog may be released to the adopters.
